What will be included in the pricing report?
We’re conducting this study on the most significant 25+ revenue driving services/fees. The study will provide fee-based benchmarking with analysis on each fee including:
- Service/fee structure (flat, percent, etc.)
- Actual fee charged (e.g. $50 or 50% of one month’s rent)
- Whether the service/fee was instituted as optional or mandatory
- How the service/fee was rolled out (e.g. on new lease, or lease & renewal, etc.)
- How owners and residents responded to the new service/fee
- 3rd party vendors utilized to provide the service
- Cost of 3rd party vendors
- How the service/fee was marketed to owners/residents

We are conducting a national pricing comparison report based on aggregated data across many companies and markets.
However, it is likely in violation of federal or state antitrust laws for there to be understandings or agreements among property manager on competitive topics such as:
- Prices and fees that property managers charge;
- Services or packages of services that property managers provide
Property managers must make individual company-by-company decisions in all of these areas and must not have understandings or agreements with other property management companies about these topics.
